Use the ‘Polygon Search’ button to draw your own search boundary, enabling you to define your search area precisely.
Click and hold the mouse button, drawing your search area. Release the mouse button to finish.
On the homepage, find the Polygon Search tool on the bottom of the page and select it.
There are two ways to create a boundary:
- Click to add boundary markers around the area you’d like to search (you can and lots of markers to create detailed boundaries), finishing by double clicking your final marker.
- Click and hold the mouse button, drawing your search area. Release the mouse button to finish.
You’ll notice that all properties within your boundary will be coloured blue and their details will be available in the table view screen on the left.
From here you can filter further by adding filter criteria from the Advanced Search menu, e.g. Sales price or Property Attributes. Simply select your filters as usual and hit search and Property Edge will only show resulting properties within you search area.
This is particularly useful for:
• Understanding the property boundaries of specific rural or farming areas
• Creating Statistics (e.g. mean site area or median sales price) for properties on a particular part of a street or area
• Isolating search to a small and defined area within a postcode or suburb
